TSI CHARTERS is a family-owned and operated fishing charter service based in Oswego, NY. We boast over 50 years of combined experience in Lake Ontario sport fishing. We specialize in providing exceptional fishing experiences for Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho (Silver) Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Steelhead Trout.
Our Mission
Founded by Captain Joe Orsen, TSI CHARTERS was established with a singular mission: to ensure every guest enjoys a safe and memorable fishing adventure while pursuing the trophy fish of a lifetime on Lake Ontario.
Our Expert Team
Captains Joe, Jason and Kevin have been fishing the Eastern Lake Ontario region and its surrounding tributaries since the 1980s. Their expertise extends to the NYS Finger Lakes, Catskill, and Adirondack waters, where they’ve fished since the mid-1970s.

Safety and Credentials
We hold a United States Coast Guard Master’s endorsement and are licensed by NYS. Additionally, our team is certified in Red Cross First Aid/CPR. We proudly belong to several esteemed organizations, including the National Association of Charter Boat Operators, Great Lakes Sport Fishing Council, and Eastern Lake Ontario Salmon & Trout Association.
TSI Fishing Charter: The ARGO I
The ARGO I is a 30-foot Cherokee Sport Fisher designed specifically for Great Lakes fishing. It features an 11-foot beam for enhanced stability. Its modified deep-V hull is built to navigate rough waters and is powered by twin inboard engines, ensuring a smooth and secure ride.
Our vessel is equipped with cutting-edge safety, fishing, and navigational technology and undergoes an annual vessel safety inspection for your peace of mind. A top-side video camera system also captures the day’s exciting moments, allowing you to receive a complimentary DVD that serves as a memorable keepsake of your fishing charter experience.
Lake Ontario: A Premier Fishing Destination
Lake Ontario is the 14th largest lake in the world and home to numerous New York State salmon and trout records. It boasts trophy brown trout weighing between 5 and 15 pounds and Chinook (king) salmon that can weigh 20 to 25 pounds or more. With its reputation as a world-class fishery, Lake Ontario offers anglers an unparalleled fishing experience.
